About Song and Beat

Song & Beat is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which supports the use of Pan-African Dance and Drum culture to inspire achievement and cultivate understanding.

Song & Beat is a multi-cultural, interactive music and movement program. With Song & Beat you will "travel" to a new country and explore its unique culture through rhythm, song, dance folklore and language.

Song & Beat is coordinated and taught by experienced and qualified professionals in the fields of music, dance and education.  Our team of teachers is comprised of full-time performing artists with a strong a desire to share their craft and their knowledge of Pan-African Drum and Dance culture with the community.

Future plans for Song and Beat

Our future endeavors include bringing Song & Beat into elementary schools and high schools, as an incentive for children to improve academically, and teaching Dance and Drum culture to children of all ages as a form of physical fitness, therapy and performing arts education.

  • IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The remainder of our classes for our current program has moved from Giggles & Green to Body Elite.
  • Septembet 19th's Complimentary classes at Giggles & Green were a success!!! Classes will be offered there in the Fall.
  • Song and Beat is now officially a registered non-profit 501(c)(3)
